A dance docomentation on the history of the Berlin Airlift, created as an idea and concept by Robert Solomon. Artistic direction, choreography, direction, lighting and stage design in cooperation with Carmen Schall, pedagogical direction, organization and administration.

With dance, song and soloists, the story is retold by students and professional artists and presented in a modern way in front of historical video documentation. Venue: Columbiatheater / Berlin Premiere: May 12, 2019

Col. Gail Halvorsen passes away On Feb. 16, 2022, famed raisin bomber pilot Gail Halvorsen passed away at 101 years old.

Gail S. Halvorsen, who was called a “chocolate flier” because he tied gum and chocolate bars from his rations to small parachutes made of handkerchiefs and threw them out of the cockpit just before landing at Tempelhof. Halvorsen was hailed as a hero by the children of Berlin.
